Karunaiyananthar Ashram is a spiritual retreat center established to realize the dharma of Jesus Christ. The ashram is built on the banks of Cauvery River in a coconut grove with a quiet and peaceful environment conducive to study, worship and meditate. It is located eight miles away from Thanjavur town on the way to Kallani Water Reservoir at the outskirts of Thirupanthuruthi Village. The ashram is surrounded by many villages where people are in need of education and health care.

Service to mankind is service to God.

I was very impressed to learn that the purpose of the ashram is not a Western model of Mission. But it is to help people from Muslim, Christian and Hindu communities and other faith traditions to develop a deeper understanding of spirituality.
